Glossier Stretch Concealer

Hi,

I first found out about Glossier's Stretch Concealer when it launched and I was desperate to try it. The concealer has lasted me over two years and I use it every day. This is because although it's not full coverage, you don't need a lot of it to cover your face. At £15, you can't go wrong. Before I bought the concealer, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, just because it wasn't as full coverage as I would normally wear. I heard really good reviews on the product and everyone said how natural it looks. If you like your makeup to look natural, to look like skin and feel lightweight, then this concealer's for you.

There's 12 shades of the concealer, from G1 (the darkest) to G12 (the lightest). The first shade I had was G11, which was slightly too light for me. I decided that I needed a shade darker, so I recently bought G10. The colour range is wide, which means everyone will be able to find their match.

The Concealer

The Key Ingredients

Beeswax And Microcrystalline Wax

This gives the concealer a super elastic consistency, which allows it to move with your facial expressions. It doesn't stiffen or cake your face.

Avocado And Jojoba Oil
This nourishes the skin and prevents water loss to give a natural and dewy finish.

Cocoa Butter
This is a natural fat, full of good ingredients that helps skin elasticity and suppleness.

Adaptable Mineral Pigments
The minerals merge seamlessly with the widest range of skin tones for natural-looking coverage.

The Formula

The formula of the concealer is amazing. Glossier is known for having sheer coverage, lightweight products, with them looking natural and skin-like. The formula is creamy and smooth, that easily glides onto the skin. It gives a brightening and dewy effect to the skin. The concealer is buildable and flexible, which means that since it's sheer, it can be easily built up, without looking cakey and feeling heavy. The concealer's elasticity means that the skin can be stretched and it can move about, without the creasing and looking dry. Despite it being sheer coverage, it can cover dark circles, redness and blemishes easily. It's so natural looking and lightweight that you can't tell that you've got makeup on, it just looks like you have an evened out skin tone.

The Staying Power

The staying power is great. Since the concealer is flexible, it moves with your skin. This means that it doesn't dry up, crease or go 'crusty'. I usually have my concealer on for 9 hours a day (sometimes more), and it's always still on, in perfect condition, by the end of the day. Also, since it's natural looking, it would be hard to tell if it had come off because it looks exactly like your skin, only better. I usually set my concealer with Glossier's Wowder Powder, which gives a demi-matte finish. Wowder also moves with the skin, is lightweight and it doesn't have the 'powdered face' look, which is normally visible on the skin.

The Removal Process

The removal process is easy. I use Face Halo to remove my makeup, which only requires water, and the concealer glides smoothly off my skin, without having to harshly rub it off my skin, which is the problem I've had with some concealers in the past. I've also previously used Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes before, and they're good for removing the concealer too, just not as sustainable and good for the enviroment as Face Halo.

The Verdict

I love this concealer and I'll be using it for the rest of my life-I swear by it! As soon as you .put it on and blend it in, it sinks into your skin, and it looks so natural and flawless. It's so lightweight that it feels like you have nothing on your skin and it stays put all day. It's one of the best concealers I've ever used. It only costs £15, and it lasted over two years for me, which is worth it for the price. I use it every day and you don't need to use much of the product. The pot is a good size too, which means that you can take it on the go with you.

The Glossier fragrance that I have is Glossier 'You'.
